LAKE LOUISE GONDOLA

Hop off and go exploring.

Cruise for fourteen glorious minutes, in an open chair or a fully enclosed gondola, to one of Banff National Park's greatest views! Surrounded by majestic peaks and glaciers, the Lake Louise Gondola is truly a special place to experience the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. The fourteen-minute ride climbs to a top elevation of 2,088 m (6,850 ft). $60 adult

The Lake Louise Gondola is one of the best places on earth to see wild grizzly bears in their natural environment. The grassy slopes below the gondola provide an excellent source of vegetation for grizzly bears, creating one of the most important habitats in Banff National Park for females with cubs. As the area’s meadows green-up, grizzlies call this place home.

The Lake Louise Mountain Resort is committed to providing a protected environment for bears and an educational and safe opportunity for guests to experience the natural beauty and wonder of this magnificent place.
